Posted 4/10/2020-Important News Regarding NJ Statewide Judgment Lien (Upper Court) Search
In response to Orders, issued by the New Jersey Supreme Court, Charles Jones LLC has made temporary changes to its Judgment Lien (Upper Court) Search. These modifications are due to the Court's decision to allow for a temporary extension of judgments past the 20-year statute of limitations.
To cover the "legal holiday extension" period described in the Orders, an extra page will be included in the front of your 20-year Judgment Lien (Upper Court) Searches. Links to the Orders appear below:
Therefore, due to these judicial orders, and for your convenience, we have hard coded the "from" date for 20-year Statewide Judgment Lien (Upper Court) Search results. Until further notice, 3/16/2000 will be used as the "from" date for 20-year Searches no matter what date you enter (and regardless from which source: Sign On, web services, or title software).
Please note - if you ordered a 20-year Judgment Lien (Upper Court) Search between April 1, 2020 and April 9, 2020, it may be impacted. We are currently engaged in a process to determine how best to cover the gap periods involved in Searches already fulfilled. Our efforts were initially focused on addressing the necessary change on all prospective inquiries. We will advise you promptly of how we can best address any gaps for Searches submitted during the dates noted above.
